#workshopWednesday: Cyclon’s tip for the workshop

At Vélovak you will find all the product groups for your shop and workshop. To support the busy bicycle and scooter mechanics of the Benelux, Vélovak has started a new series and gives the hero in the workshop a stage. We asked Cyclon for their workshop tip that they would like to share with the two-wheeler specialist. The expert in bicycle maintenance who gives many racing bikes, mountain bikes, e-bikes, regular bikes and their users a smile. Team Vélovak spoke with Paul Boers and Ramon de Graaf of Cyclon.

“#workshopWednesday is all about the support we at Cyclon can offer to our workshop customers. One Cyclon product that deserves this spotlight is our disc brake break-in system: Speed Brake Roller. A ‘must’ for professionally equipped workshops. The enormous increase in bicycles with disc brakes makes this the must-have for every self-respecting professional. Moreover, it is a product that is currently being highlighted on our website.

The Cyclon Speed Brake Roller braking system is the ideal method for braking in disc brakes. It is suitable for any bicycle that is equipped with disc brakes. Within 30 seconds, brake pads are broken in. This makes traditional methods a thing of the past. The use of the Cyclon braking system increases braking performance and saves valuable time.”

How does it work?

“When the desired speed has been reached, squeeze the brake until the wheel just comes to a stop. Make sure the wheel does not lock. After you have held this for about 30 seconds, the brake pads are ready for use. Then you can change the wheel and follow the same steps. Watch the video to see how it works.

To sum up:

  • It saves you an average of 20 minutes per bike;
  • It contributes to the professional look of your workshop;
  • It is operated with a foot switch;
  • The drive roller has an adjustable rotation speed and optimal grip;
  • Reversible rotation direction (front and rear wheel).
